I read in the Sound Off that Comcast is going up again this year. Every year it goes up between $20 and $30. I don’t know where they think we get the money from. I’m on a fixed income. I don’t get any raises in my retirement or my Social Security. Wake up Comcast, we can’t afford this. Golden Ager

I have something that I think everybody could get behind — Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, whatever. The taxable amount of your Social Security benefits — single $25,000, couple filing jointly $32,000 — has not been raised since 1983. I think that it’s time to change that. Who else is the same as they were in 1983? Instead of bickering let’s get behind this and tell our congressmen and senators that we need a change.

The person that’s pushing Dinesh D’Souza and his book it just so happens when he was on Fox News he was asked about the Democrat Party’s history in his book and he said it was sort of a secret history. Now you want us to read a book where the main story is called a secret by the author? Please.

Hats off to Sen. Dianne Feinstein for standing up for what is right. She not only deserves a standing ovation from every American who begs for the truth she should be awarded a medal for courage above and beyond the Republican call of duty. I salute you Dianne Feinstein. KM

Watched the college football championship Monday night. President Trump was there with members of the military singing the national anthem for all the nation to see. How patriotic, but wait he could not remember the words. He mocks football players who kneel but he cannot even sing the anthem. What a hypocrite and a joke. Lady Di you did not see that on Fox News but the tape of it went viral for all the world to see.

I just saw a chart where some of the people from Mexico were coming across the border wall and guess where they are coming across? Where they already have a wall now. And they want to spend $18 billion putting more of a wall up. Are we going to put the wall up 65 feet high in the air? The taxpayers don’t want to pay for an $18 billion wall. We already have one. Use drones and hire more people. It’s a waste of money what we’re doing. Jay Miller

Here in Boyertown we’re blessed with the best mail carrier Linda Hafer. She’s known for helping our neighborhood people in many acts of kindness. We like improving things in our homes and yards and especially relationships. Linda Hafer and Virginia Reyes are an asset to all of us. Thank you friends. AR

I just read the Sound Off and I saw the comment about East Coventry and the icy conditions. My grandson had an accident, broke his nose and what have you, in the East Coventry area. The point is that North Coventry keeps the roads clear and you get faked out and then you go into other townships and you find out the roads aren’t very clear and then you get into a situation where you get complacent. So gotta be careful no matter where you go.

I would like to send out a big thank you to the new Golden Buffet in Phoenixville. My car broke down and they were so kind. They came out and helped me get my car started again when it was snowing. I just wanted to say a big thank you and they’re wonderful people and I wish you lots of luck in 2018. You’ve got my business. Thank you very much. You’re very kindhearted.

Please stop blaming President Trump for everything. He didn’t raise the prices for Comcast. Greedy Comcast raised the prices. Lady T

This is something for “Fact” to consider. I don’t agree with deporting the dreamers, DACA. They came here at young ages through no fault of their own. What we should consider doing is reporting their parents who are the real criminals who knowingly knew they were coming into this country illegally. I haven’t heard anyone yet make this suggestion. Anyone that had the pleasure of witnessing the meeting yesterday that President Donald Trump had and came away from that still thinking wrong about him, if you don’t realize by now, he is the smartest, the best president we have ever had, ever, even back to President Eisenhower. This man is what we have been needing instead of the fake presidents we’ve been stuck with.

After reading Sound Off for the past two years I’ve come to one conclusion. There are two types of people in this country — those who are easily duped and those who hate Donald Trump.
