Dahl L. Yingling, 70

Dahl L. Yingling, 70, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at his home in Douglassville. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Prinzinger) with whom he shared 47 years of marriage.

Dahl was born September 10, 1946 in Roaring Spring, PA. He was a son of the late Howard S. Yingling and Violet G. (Diehl) Yingling.

Dahl enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved taking his grandchildren hunting and fishing. One of his favorite places to go was Raystown Lake. He also loved traveling, woodworking, gardening, and cooking for his family. He had many hobbies and interests, but his greatest love was spending time with his grandkids.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Christopher D. Yingling – Bellefonte, PA and Brian S. Yingling and his wife, Stefanne –Douglassville, PA; one daughter, Jennifer L. Thompson – Douglassville, PA; one brother, Barry L. Yingling and his wife, Eva Marie – Stowe, PA; one sister, Carol Y. Soltes – Boyertown, PA, and seven grandchildren, Dahl L. Yingling, II, Austin T. Yingling, Kyle A. Thompson, Brian S. Yingling Jr., Aaron M. Yingling, Sarah E. Yingling, and Sophia N. Yingling.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dahl’s Life Celebration on Saturday morning February 25, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St. Pottstown, PA 19464. A Service will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will take place following the service at St. Paul’s UCC Cemetery in Amityville, PA.
