Hillary Clinton reminds me of half the characters on a soap opera called “General Hospital” where half the characters are felons several times over and they’re walking the streets living their daily lives. And she’s all the Democrats have as a No. 1 candidate for president?

This is to John from Mont Clare concerning his comment about the test scores and wants to blame the parents. Come on John wake up, it’s the teachers. For you to call in and blame all the parents in Pennsylvania for lousy test scores is pathetic. It’s the teachers. The teachers need to do their job and be held accountable. Try that for once.

This is in response to John from Mont Clare concerning the Pennsylvania test scores. My daughter is in fourth grade and I cannot believe what they want them to know, algebra in the fourth grade. What’s next? I think you’re totally off on your comment.

Looking at The Mercury with the PSA results, could somebody please explain to me how many hours were spent in practice testing before these tests were given and what kind of education the children missed during that time?

I was rereading the Oct. 2 commentary by Chris Freind. That is one brilliant column. Thank you. You hit it right on the head. You know what people, that’s what idiots like ISIS want us to do. They want us to be afraid. Stand up and be Americans and tell them we’re not afraid of you and we never will be.

John from Mont Clare

I would just like to congratulate The Mercury sports department for their fine coverage this past weekend with the PAC-10 coverage and using the statistics that are necessary for us readers to understand what’s going on in that league. It was a great job and I hope it continues. Thank you.

This is to the person that said they’re going to take your guns away from you. They’re not talking about taking guns away from a normal person. They’re talking about taking guns away from people that are mentally disturbed and felons and stuff like that. I think you’re a little paranoid Boyertown.

Relative to the 40 mph speed limit on the Route 422 bypass, If you go 40 mph, you ride by yourself. If police would patrol this area, they would quadruple their salaries.

This is just curiosity and I’m not making fun of anybody or whatever. Some of the younger people spray their hair, I don’t know if it’s paint or whatever, and it comes up pink or purple or whatever. I don’t really care what you do to yourself, like I said, I’m just curious what it stands for. I’m not that young and I just wonder why these people spray their hair different colors and does it come out right away?

Just Curious

I just used River Road. Very very nice. Nice job whoever did that. Thank you.

Isn’t it cute how all the anti-gun liberals like Geraldo Rivera. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to take people’s guns from them but the salient fact remains — they’re all surrounded by armed men with guns, their body guards. Will they give up their security detail? I don’t think so. Oh and Bloomberg too in New York; he’s not going to give up his security detail.

To Lighten Up, are you a teacher? Read the motor vehicle code book. When the key is in the ignition and motor is running, you are driving even if stopped for a bus or red light which means left hand in a 9 o’clock position and right hand at the 3 o’clock position, not the texting hand. You’re supposed to be watching traffic and kids near school for cars on the road.

A Critic

Don’t worry about the people who are not happy for you. They probably are not happy for themselves either.

Fight When You’re Right

To whom it may concern, Tom Hylton is absolutely correct. The Cluster and The Hill School should definitely be paying taxes. Our town is plagued with Welfare and Section 8. Elderly are having to give up their homes. It’s unbelievable. Get real.

What is going on with a loaf of bread these days? There are more holes in a slice then there is bread. What happened to quality control to let this holy bread pass through the assembly line? We are being cheated out of our bread.

Everyone should say a prayer for those poor sailors who were lost at sea in that big cargo ship during the hurricane. As modern as technology is in those ships Mother Nature still can beat them. Say a prayer for everybody. I hope they find some of the them.
