Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC), Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program’s “Vanguard Center for High Performance Computing”, located at the Maui Research and Technology Park (MRTP) in Maui, Hawai‘i. Duties: Provides the technical & program leadership for complex software systems development & applications projects & programs, ensuring that objectives are achieved in a cost-effective, timely manner. Leads a team of systems, software engineers & subcontractors on development programs involving high performance computing. Develops concepts & support program capture efforts in coordination with management and business development. Responsible for technical, cost & schedule performance & the capture of new research & development projects & programs. Major activities include program planning, customer interface, teaming, managing subcontractors & subsequent program phase capture. Provides comprehensive technical & business leadership including understanding of the technical & programmatic requirements, relevant state-of-the art technology & necessary principles & practices. Must be able to work during the core Center hours Mon-Fri (M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm) with supervisor specified breaks & some evenings & weekends as required to fulfill duties & responsibilities.
