Quite a few programs are being offered in March at Brush library
Spring doesn’t officially begin until March 20, but we at East Morgan
County Librar y District invite you to star t your spring cleaning early with our Adults Only: Home Organization program at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 18.
Professional organizer Rebecca, of Revise Organizing based in Brighton, will be joining us virtually to guide you through the process of creating the right sustainable organizing system for you. Rebecca has worked with individuals, public libraries, and even the City of Boulder to help them create happier spaces that ser ve them well. There is no cost to attend. If home organization doesn’t sound appealing, maybe one of our other adult programs this month is a better fit.
Ever y Monday evening at 6 p.m. you can join us in person or vir tually for Yoga with Molly. All levels are welcome, and modifications are given for more challenging poses, so don’t be intimidated to join! You do not have to be flexible to do yoga. You just have to be willing to tr y something new. Bring your own mat or borrow one of ours. There are a couple of writing programs this month.
First up, the Morgan Community College Center for Arts & Community Enrichment
(CACE) has put together a virtual writing workshop with author Amy Ir vine. If you would like to hear readings from the award-winning essayist and improve your own writing skills, this is for you! If you want to join but aren’t comfor table setting up Zoom, the librar y will be hosting a gathering to attend the vir tual workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 4.
Second, our Writers Workshop will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on their usual second Thursday of the month, March 11. This group shares their writing ahead of time and meets to discuss. Call 970-842-4596 for more information on how to join.
If tracking down your ancestors is more your speed, you will want to visit the librar y at 6 p.m. Monday, March 15. This month’s genealogy program is “Researching Your WWII Ancestors Part 2 – Records of the U.S. Army.”
Our book club, Shelf Indulgence, meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month. On March 23 at 6 p.m. we will be discussing “Clock Works” by award-winning author Anne Tyler. The story follows Willa Drake through the defining moments of her life and the uncharted territory and discoveries these moments lead her to.
