Spotlight on Joffrey Lauvergne: The former Nuggets center was traded for the second time in five months recently when Oklahoma City shipped the 6-foot-11 big man, along with Cameron Payne and Anthony Morrow, to Chicago for Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott. Lauvergne saw his first action with the Bulls on Saturday, playing two minutes in a 117-99 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. One of Lauvergne’s biggest games of the season came against the Nuggets on Nov. 15, when he had 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting, four rebounds and a block to help lead the Thunder to a 132-129 win over Denver. Lauvergne, whom the Nuggets traded last August for a protected second-round draft pick, is averaging 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds this season. Nuggets: Rookie Jamal Murray bounced back from two rough performanc­es coming out of the all-star break to score 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting Sunday during Denver’s loss to Memphis. The 6-4 Murray also collected four rebounds while backing up starting point guard Jameer Nelson. … Wilson Chandler made his 20th start of the season Sunday, and he’s been effective in that role. The veteran swingman is averaging 16.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in games he starts. … Forward Danilo Gallinari is averaging 21 points over his past seven games. … The Nuggets are 2-8 in their last 10 road games. Bulls: Dwyane Wade has averaged 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists in six February games. … Chicago ranks second in the NBA in rebounding at 46.5 per game. … The Bulls have won four consecutiv­e games and are 18-11 at the United Center this season. … Guard Jimmy Butler’s player efficiency rating of 25.29 ranks 12th in the NBA, one spot below Nuggets center Nikola Jokic (25.81). Butler had 25 points in a 110-107 loss to the Nuggets on Nov. 22.
