While more than 1million Broncos fans on Tuesday celebrated their beloved team’s Super Bowl win, merchandize vendors basked in Super Bowl- caliber sales.

“Thanks to this, I’m going to start condo shopping,” said Jose Figueroa as he sold orange tchotchkes to the masses attending the Broncos’ downtown rally. “It’s keptme out of trouble.”

Figueroa saw every passing orange- clad faithful as a potential customer, calling them over to check out his gear.

“They want posters, flags, hats, gloves and jerseys,” he said, explaining that he hoped to sell about $ 3,000 of merchandise. “Everything.” Vendors stood at almost every juncture, seeking those eager to nab Super Bowl 50 gear. Many happily forked over cash in the hopes of securing Broncos history as part of a souvenir rush that began minutes after the Broncos’ victory Sunday.

Gregory Richards came from Springfield, Ill., to Denver to sell pennants for $ 10 apiece. He pulled his supply through the crowd in a wagon starting at 6 a. m., calling out “Super Bowl pennants— cash or credit!”

“I started with 500 pennants,” he said at 9: 30 a. m. “I’m down to 100.”

Jim Maser of Monument waded through crowds Tuesday morning with a small kiosk attached to his hips.

“It’s been going great,” he said. “It’s been a great Broncos season for me.”

Maser said his most expensive items were $ 20 Broncos legwarmers and limited- edition pins. He hoped to sell plenty of those to buy himself a sports memorabilia gift.

“It’s a way for me to have fun and make some money,” said Morgan Robinson as she twirled a bundle of pennants while dancing amid fans.

She said she found work selling the souvenirs on Craigslist and figured shewould give it a whirl. “I just dance and everyone is coming up to buy one,” a beaming Robinson said.
