The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticu­t hosts a seminar on ConnectiCa­re Medicare Advantage on June 20 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at 914 Hartford Turnpike, Waterford. The seminar, presented by Mark Lee of Mark Lee and Associates, will explain Medicare and how it works, talk about when to sign up for Medicare and how people can get additional benefits with a Medicare Advantage plan and realize savings. This forum with elected officials and community leaders will discuss arts, culture and tourism-related updates from the recent legislativ­e session. Speakers for the event include state Sen. Paul Formica, co-chairman, Arts, Culture and Tourism Caucus; David Kooris, deputy commission­er, DECD; and Co-Chairs of ACT Policy Committee Wendy Bury, executive director, SECT Cultural Coalition, and Stephen Tagliatela, chairman, CT Tourism Coalition.
