Pitt makes rare showing at Hollywood premiere

Brad Pitt has made a somewhat rare public appearance since his split with Angelina Jolie by showing up at the Hollywood premiere of “Lost City of Z.”

The actor looked noticeably thinner when arriving at the Arclight Cinemas on Tuesday night. Although he was pelted with questions from reporters, Pitt gave a wave and said only, “Hi. Good to see you all.” Pitt has kept a low-profile since Jolie’s divorce filing in September. He showed up at a few premieres last fall for his war drama, “Allied,” which turned out to be a box office disappointment. He also introduced a clip for eventual Best Picture winner “Moonlight” at the Golden Globes in January.

Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment produced “Moonlight” and “Lost City of Z.”

Bon Jovi ends Pittsburgh show early with sore throat

Bon Jovi needed more medicine than prayers when it cut its Pittsburgh concert short because the band’s namesake blamed a cold for his sore throat.

The group was performing at PPG Paints Arena on Wednesday night when Jon Bon Jovi told the audience he has had a cold since Saturday night. But he said he would keep pushing on. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports he also said: “This is the day when I need a karaoke singer. Which one of you guys in a bar band knows all the words to Bon Jovi songs?”

He sang “Bad Medicine” and wrapped things up after 90 minutes of the expected 21⁄2-hour show with “Livin’ on a Prayer.”

The band is scheduled to play New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday.
