Area golfers endure heat to compete in annual tournament

The annual Germantown Area Chamber Golf Classic was held at Germantown Country Club.

Golfers braved the 90 plus degree weather on teams representi­ng A. S. Barboro, AT &T, Baptist Rehabilita­tion Germantown, Business Equipment Center, City of Germantown, Fidelity Investment­s, Financial Federal, First Capital Bank, First Tennessee, Germantown Hardware, Mellon Consulting, Memphis Mold Inspector, Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown, the Mutual Fund Store, PepsiCo, Premium Refreshmen­t, P.O.P. Solutions, Spectrum Lighting + Controls, The Commercial Appeal, and The Stern Cardiovasc­ular Foundation.

Golfers enjoyed lunch sponsored by Duncan Williams Asset Management. PepsiCo, Premium Refreshmen­t Service and A.S. Barboro provided beverages, and Allen Brasfield, Keller Williams Realty supplied snacks. Marco’s Pizza provided refreshmen­ts for the 19th Hole Celebratio­n, sponsored by the Centre Group, and Rockin’ Robin’s DJ’s provided the entertainm­ent.
