Catherine Meinrad Brady, born May 23, 1952, passed away peacefully in her home on August 10, 2024, after a brief illness. Catherine was a cherished wife, devoted mother, loving grandmothe­r, and a beloved sister and aunt. Her departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Raised on the east side of Columbus, Cathy attended Christ the King Grade School and Bishop Hartley High School. She obtained an Associate’s degree from Columbus State and dedicated 35 years of her career as a medical technologi­st at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where her compassion and expertise made a lasting impact. Cathy and her husband, Chuck Brady, raised their family in Pickeringt­on, Ohio, before spending a period living in Jacksonvil­le, Florida. They ultimately returned to Ohio, residing in Canal Winchester. Throughout her life, Cathy cultivated valued, life-long friendship­s, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Catherine Meinrad; her sister, Mary Jo Meinrad; and her brother-in-law, David Roesch. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Chuck Brady; their children, Matt and Shannon Brady; and her cherished grandchild­ren, Vincent and Charlotte Werner. She is also missed by her sisters-in-law Beth Anne Roesch, Kim (Paul) Dillon, and Maggie Rotunda (Denny Ferkin); and her brothers-in-law Michael (Becky) Brady, Pat (Jayme) Brady and Bill Casner. Her legacy of love extends to many beloved nieces, including Erin Decarlo and Bridget Schwertman, as well as numerous cousins and great-nieces and nephews. A celebratio­n of Cathy’s life will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at TAT Ristorante de Famiglia, 1210 South James Rd., Columbus. Cathy will also be remembered for her boundless energy, her unparallel­ed skills as a hostess, and her unique ability to gather people together. She truly loved life and the people who shared it with her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ohio Health Foundation, Hospice Care (3430 Ohio Health Pkwy.
