Middle School Volleyball: Catoosa teams battle on the court
The Heritage Lady Generals moved to 4-0 in varsity volleyball action with a wins at Lakeview last Tuesday and home against Dade County on Thursday.
Heritage handed Lakeview a 25-8, 25-13 defeat. Tied at eight in the opening set, Zoe Ha reeled off 17 straight service points to give her team the game. The second set was a tight one early, but Heritage would win a point after a long rally and took control from there.
Ha ended the day with 10 aces, followed by Abbey Blevins with four and Nadia Sixto with two.
Taliyah Holland had six service points for the Lady Warriors (0-3), while Trinity Shortt was a defensive standout.
The Heritage JV team defeated Lakeview, 25-9 and 2522. No individual stats were provided as of press time.
Against Dade County, Heritage’s varsity won by scores of 25-9 and 25-10, while the JV team picked up a 25-23, 25-11 victory.

The Lady Generals will host Ringgold in their next game on Thursday.
Ringgold handles Lakeview
The varsity Lady Tigers got three aces from Allison WolfDriver and two each from River Lowery and Hailey Headrick in a 25-11, 25-14 victory over their longtime rivals on Thursday.
Amber Bramlett, Maclaine Donnovan and Ashlyn Roberson had one ace apiece in the win.
In the junior varsity game, Ringgold swept their way to the victory, 25-19 and 25-5.
Emmie Chilton served up 11 aces, while Tahj Griggs had nine. Erin Harvey collected three aces and Alexis Brackett and Tiffany Cavin had one each.

Ringgold will host Rossville on Tuesday, while Lakeview will entertain Saddle Ridge.
