Studio B opens ‘Brilliance’
Art exhibit opens during Boyertown’s annual holiday house tour
Studio B Fine Art Gallery in Boyertown opens “Brilliance,” an art exhibit featuring art and artist members and friends of the studio on Friday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. during Boyertown’s annual holiday open house tour. The show continues through Jan. 23.
The gallery invites all artists to feature their best work. Various media, from oil, pencil, and watercolor to clay, glass, and fiber, will be represented. The annual exhibit showcases dozens of local artists and offers an array of styles.
An awards ceremony will be held between 6 to 7 p.m. on Facebook LIVE. A recording of the ceremony and a virtual tour of the exhibit featuring interviews with artists who attend the opening will be available as a Facebook LIVE event at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10. The recording will then be archived on Studio B Art Gallery’s Facebook page and available on YouTube.
“As folks select gifts for family and friends, we hope they will consider a gift of fine art by a local artist,” said Jane Stahl, Director of Community Relations. “They can ‘shop’ in the comfort of their living rooms through our virtual tour—always a plus in winter during the busy weeks before the holidays.”
“’Brilliance’ will showcase our artists’ best works and talents,” said Studio B director Susan Biebuyck. “This exhibit is another opportunity for the many talented people who have graced our walls to exhibit and for us to celebrate their artistic accomplishments. We want to ease our community into the darker months by showcasing their brilliance.”
“Even in tough economic times, art is an investment gift. It brings joy and hope to both the giver and the receiver,” Biebuyck noted. “This is a special annual exhibit for us. We opened our doors for the first time with this exhibit in 2008. As part of the Holiday House Tour, we were introduced to hundreds of visitors to Studio B that evening and look forward to hundreds every year during this annual community celebration!”
