A traffic stop on Revere Beach Boulevard around 6 p.m. Monday led to the arrest of three men from Lynn, and the recovery of a loaded handgun and a large amount of marijuana, according to State Police. Bryan DaRosa, 18, was driving a black BMW sedan that had an expired inspection sticker and lacked a front plate, State Police said in a statement. A check of the rear license plate also showed the car’s registration had expired last month, the statement said. While searching the vehicle, a trooper found a fanny pack on the front passenger seat containing 30 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition. Another trooper recovered a loaded handgun from underneath the passenger seat. Neither DaRosa, nor his passengers, identified as Rick Pierre, 23, and Hallande Pierre, 18, were licensed to carry a firearm, State Police said. In the trunk, troopers found “a large duffle bag with the word ‘Cookies’ on it, and which contained multiple bags of a substance believed to be marijuana, as well as 25 plastic tubes containing apparent pre-rolled joints, along with other items used to facilitate illegal drug sales, such as a grinder and digital scales, the statement said. The marijuana was found to belong to DaRosa. All three men were arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, improper storage of a firearm, and possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute. DaRosa was also issued a civil citation for driving an unregistered motor vehicle, an expired inspection sticker, and a number plate violation. Rick Pierre and Hallande Pierre also were issued civil citations for failure to wear a seatbelt, the statement said.
