The J.M. Smucker Co. is recalling several widely available brands of Jif creamy and crunchy peanut butter, citing potential salmonella contaminations linked to 14 illnesses. In an announcement posted Friday, the Food and Drug Administration listed 49 products, all but one of which corresponded to different sizes and packaging of Jif peanut butter, citing a multistate outbreak of salmonella infections linked to a factory in Lexington, Ky.
4 Ex-tory lawmaker jailed:
A former British Conservative Party lawmaker was sentenced to 18 months in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a teenage boy in 2008. Imran Ahmad Khan, 48, represented the city of Wakefield in northern England until he resigned last month following his conviction for the assault, which took place before he became a politician.

Buffalo Katherine “Kat” Massey is scheduled to be laid to rest Monday as funerals continue for the victims of the racist attack on a Buffalo supermarket. Massey, 72, has been described by her friends as a civil rights and education advocate.
