1 PRO FOOTBALL:

Buffalo QB Josh Allen threw a 14-yard TD pass to Tyler Kroft with 7:55 to play and the Bills clinched a playoff spot, beating Pittsburgh 17-10 Sunday night. The Bills (10-4) secured their second playoff berth in three seasons under coach Sean McDermott. Buffalo trailed 10-7, but scored on two possession­s in the fourth quarter, as Allen rallied the Bills for a comeback win for the fifth time this season. Consecutiv­e intercepti­ons by Jordan Poyer and Levi Wallace on Pittsburgh’s last two possession­s sealed the victory. The Steelers (8-6) had an opportunit­y to leapfrog the Bills for the top AFC wild card spot, but Buffalo snapped Pittsburgh’s three-game win streak. The Steelers remain the No. 6 seed in the AFC, but they have no room for error.

2 COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

Oregon State QB Jake Luton, Minnesota DB Antoine Winfield Jr., and Kentucky LB Josh Paschal are among the major college football finalists for the Comeback Player of the Year award, which will be announced Thursday. The other finalists in FBS are Georgia Southern OL Drew Wilson and Notre Dame CB Shaun Crawford.

3 COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

The Mountain West Conference suspended four UNLV players and reprimande­d another for involvemen­t in an altercatio­n after a game against rival Nevada. Evan Austrie, Noah Bean, Giovanni Fauolo Sr. and Justin Polu were suspended and Steve Jenkins was reprimande­d for the Nov. 30 fight.

4 BOXING:

Tyson Fury has changed trainers two months before his likely heavyweigh­t rematch with WBC champion Deontay Wilder. Fury split with Ben Davison after two years and will team up with Javan “Sugar” Hill, nephew of the late trainer Emmanuel Steward.

5 COLLEGE ATHLETICS:

Indiana AD Fred Glass, 60, said he’ll retire at the end of this academic school year.
