Regarding the I-75 /575 toll lanes, can you give me a more exact date of completion of the toll lanes other than sometime in 2018? —Fred Judson, Acworth

A:

Officials with the Georgia Department of Transporta­tion say the lanes are expected to open this summer but did not provide a set date.

Constructi­on on the 29.7mile Northwest Corridor Express Lanes began in October 2014, according to GDOT.

The reversible lanes will be on I-75 — from Akers Mill Road to Hickory Grove Road — and on I-575 — from I-75 to Sixes Road in Cobb and Cherokee counties — according to GDOT.

The Titanic is a “rusting hulk at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean,” according to a February 2018 BBC article.

It is located 3.8 kilometers below the surface of the ocean, and a species of bacteria is “slowly eating away its iron hull,” according to the BBC.

The bacteria has been named Halomonas titanicae by researcher­s, according to the BBC and other media reports.

The Titanic’s wreck was discovered in 1985 by a team led by Dr. Robert Ballard.
