Israeli maker of task ware picks Atlanta

An Israeli company that makes software that allows some tasks to be automated is opening an Atlanta office, calling it its U.S. headquarters.

The company, Kryon Systems, is hiring 15 workers in sales, marketing, business development and support. It plans to double its workforce in the next year. Kryon is also opening a New York office.

The company is looking for office space in Buckhead, said Spencer MacDonald, a spokesperson for Kryon, and intends to open later this month.

The technology, called robotic process automation, allows workers to automate tasks such as data entry so they can be freed up to do other work, MacDonald said.

MacDonald said the robotic assistant, called Leo, resembles PowerPoint in its accessibility and ease of programming. The technology is designed to allow back-office and administrative tasks to be passed back and forth between people and the software.

Clients using the technology include AT&T, the Wyndham Hotel Group and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

The company, which is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, has 70 employees.

Tony Ehrens, the company’s general manager for the Americas, said in a statement that businesses are seeking artificial intelligence solutions that will help them work consistently and grow rapidly. Kryon, he said, is positioned to provide that technology, with its expansion into the U.S.
