A 25-year-old Roswell woman pleaded guilty to aggravated stalking for harassing an actor from “The Walking Dead” and his wife, the Fulton County district attorney said Tuesday.

Kathryn Boykin was sentenced to 10 years on probation, must not have any contact with actor Dan- iel May or his family, and is prohibited from using the Internet, District Attorney Paul Howard’s office said. Boykin must also maintain her mental health medication and treatment.

According to investigators, Boykin’s fascination with May began in December 2006 after attending one of his performances, and she began to harass May and his wife, mostly via the Internet and social media. Boykin created social media accounts that she used to falsely accuse May of a va- riety of crimes or spread lies about the couple, the DA’s office said.

Daniel May appeared in several episodes during season three of the popular AMC show, but his character was killed at the end of the season.

Boykin also posted harassing statements on the couple’s business website and on other third-party websites and sent electronic messages to the couple. The victims responded one time asking Boykin to “Stop.” When she failed to cease com- munication, the couple contacted police and obtained protective orders against the defendant, according to prosecutors.

On Dec. 21, 2013, Boykin appeared outside Synchronicity Theater, run by May’s wife Rachel, holding a sign. Boykin was in violation of a permanent protective order issued five months earlier, the DA’s office said.

Boykin was arrested Dec. 27, 2013, and booked into the Fulton County jail. She was released Jan. 26, 2014, records showed.
