Raymond Gloyde Wolver, 83, passed peacefully at his home on April 10, 2021 with loved ones by his side. He was born October 2, 1937 in Prairie City, Iowa to Ray and Mary Wolver. He grew up in Altoona, Iowa where he worked hard on the family farm and loved to play high school sports. He was a veteran of the US Army. On October 10, 1963 he married the love of his life, Judith Ann Cole after meeting at an elevator in the telephone company where they both worked. They resided in Des Moines and raised 2 children, Barbara and Robert. He worked for 30 years as an installer with Western Electric. After retiring, he drove a school bus for the Des Moines Public Schools until he retired once again. In 2018 they settled in Arizona where they moved into a retirement community. They made many friends and enjoyed playing shuffleboard, walking, attending community get togethers, and having happy hours when the mountains turned pink.

He loved his family and would do anything for them. He especially loved the time he spent with his grandsons and would travel hours just to visit them or watch one of their sporting events. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy, 2 children Barbara(John) Buric and Robert Wolver, 2 grandchildren, Michael Buric and Adam Buric, Sisters Francis Taylor, Dorothy (Charlie) Irons and Luella Garrett, Brother-in-law Leon Parker and many nieces and nephews.
