Intocable

These Texas norteño sensations are now in their third year of touring on “Highway,” which spun off six hit singles while taking their total YouTube views over 1 billion and bringing in their latest Latin Grammy nomination. Led by vocalist Ricky Muñoz and percussion­ist René Martinez, they’ve won two Grammys and took home a lifetime achievemen­t award in 2012 from the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Anuel AA

Considered a pioneer of the Latin trap

movement, the Puerto Rican rapper and singer picked up Artist of the Year, New at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards. He was among the artists featured on “Trap Capos: Season 1,” a compilatio­n that became the first Latin trap LP to top the Billboard Latin Rhythm Albums chart. After being released from prison last year, he released his first full-length album, “Real Hasta la Muerte” (or “real until death”). It topped the Billboard Latin Albums chart.

‘Purple Rain’ movie party

Stuck in the ‘80s? Join other fans as you all sing and cheer to semi-autobiogra­phical film “Purple Rain” starring Prince, Apollonia and Morris Day at Alamo Drafthouse. Tickets include themed props to bring the movie to life. No children under the age of six are allowed during the event at both Tempe and Chandler locations — with Tempe hosting “Purple Rain” on July 8 and 9.

Shawn Mendes

The multi-platinum singer-songwriter will play nearly 100 dates this year with special guest Alessia Cara, ending with Mendes’ first ever stadium show in his hometown Toronto, which sold out in minutes. More than 1 million fans are expected to see the singer’s third headlining tour and his first ever to break into stadiums in select cities. The singer’s hits include “Stitches,” “Treat You Better,” “Mercy,” “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” (with Camila Cabello).
