No. 4. Ohio State 52, Rutgers 3: Dwayne Haskins Jr. threw four touchdown passes and host Ohio State rolled to the 900th victory in program history, routing outmanned Rutgers.

No. 5 Wisconsin 45, New Mexico 14: Jonathan Taylor ran for 253 yards and three touchdowns, and host Wisconsin asserted its dominance after allowing a score on the game-opening drive.

No. 21 Michigan 49, Western Michigan 3: Shea Patterson threw three touchdown passes, one in each of the first three quarters, to help host Michigan coast to a win over Western Michigan.

Iowa 13, Iowa State 3: Mekhi Sargent scored on a 2-yard TD run with 4:47 left and Iowa beat Iowa State for the fourth year in a row.

Colorado 33, Nebraska 28: Steven Montez connected with Laviska Shenault Jr. for a 40-yard touchdown with 1:06 to play and Colorado’s defense held at the end, allowing the Buffaloes to beat host Nebraska.

Duke 21, Northweste­rn 7: Daniel Jones threw for three touchdowns before leaving the game with an apparent injury as visiting Duke beat Northweste­rn.

E. Michigan 20, Purdue 19: Chad Ryland kicked the go-ahead field goal as time expired to lift visiting Eastern Michigan over Purdue.

Maryland 45, Bowling Green 14: Tayon Fleet-Davis rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, and Ty Johnson had 124 yards and another score as host Maryland broke out in the second half.

Minnesota 21, Fresno State 14: Seth Green ran for two short touchdowns, including the game-winning 3-yard score late in the fourth quarter, and Antione Winfield Jr. sealed the game with an intercepti­on.

Indiana 20, Virginia 16: Stevie Scott bowled through Virginia’s defense on a soggy Saturday night, rushing 31 times for 204 yards and one touchdown in his first college start to lead Indiana.

Illinois 34, Western Illinois 14: Illinois beat Western Illinois, but Illinois quarterbac­k AJ Bush injured his left leg in the first quarter and didn’t return.
