PHOENIX – John “Big J” Knox Bunch Jr, 87, of Phoenix, Arizona passed peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2017. His celebratio­n of life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 30 at Orangewood Presbyteri­an Church, 7321 N 10th St, Phoenix, AZ 85020. John Jr, was born November 29, 1929 in Houston, Texas to John Knox Bunch Sr and Evelyn (Horton) Bunch. He graduated from Lamar High School in 1947 and in 1951, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineerin­g from Oklahoma University. April 11, 1953 he married the former Wilma Sue Green in Birmingham, Alabama. John was a time study engineer at General Motors Corporatio­n in Arlington, TX and transferre­d to GM’s Tech Center in Warren, MI in 1966. Relocating to Phoenix, he later founded Allfab Engineerin­g, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ in 1973 as owner and president for 20 years. John enjoyed fixing anything and everything; at his home and business. Winning almost every horseshoe game and spending time fixing anything and everything still, following his retirement he spent his later years at his cabin in the White Mountains where he welcomed and loved all visitors. Survivors include his wife Sue; his daughter, Susan Lynn Wisby; his two sons, Kenneth L Bunch and his wife Ellen of Prescott, and John A Bunch and his wife Kelli of Phoenix; seven grandchild­ren - Chris, Jill, Kim, Breanna, Zachary, Rachael and Grace; and Greatgrand­children Daniel, Addison, Lily, Evelyn and Emma Rose; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his only brother, Horton Rainey Bunch, and his parents. Reception to follow service at private residence.
