Maggie Eden, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully in Scottsdale surrounded by family on September 29 after a long battle with end stage renal failure. She was born in 1975 in Arlington, TX and moved with her parents to Scottsdale in 1977. She received a kidney transplant in 1998 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. Maggie was forever grateful to the wonderful transplant team who gave her 19 years of renewed health and her Uncle Don for the generous gift of his kidney. After her transplant and completing her 2-year degree at Scottsdale Community College, Maggie worked at Amy’s Hallmark and later at Sar ah’s/Rose’s Hallmark in Scottsdale. She loved her regular customers and the ever-changing Hallmark holiday decoration­s. Maggie’s passions were movies, books, all things related to entertainm­ent, and animals both great and small. One of her favorite memories was of watching, from her hotel in London, the Queen’s horses being taken out for their daily exercise. Maggie was preceded in death by her loving grandparen­ts Keith and Evelyn Sasser of Scottsdale. She is survived by her mother Nancy Eden, younger brother Jeff, his wife Melissa, and their daughter Brianna. Her uncle, Don Sasser of Sun City, her cherished friend, Brenda Strickler of Dallas, TX, her grandfathe­r, Dale Eden of Boerne, TX, and numerous relatives in AZ, NC, TN, OK, GA, KS, and TX also survive her. A private service was held at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary in Scottsdale.
