ODESSA A. MADLOCK

Odessa Allean Madlock, age 86, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, November 22, 2019 in a local nursing home. M r s . Madlock was born July 31, 1933 in Hempstead County, Arkansas. She was a retired CNA, a seamstress and a member of the First Baptist Church, Texarkana. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Madlock; three children, Charles Edward Madlock, Wylie Madlock and Ruby Madlock; two sisters, Dorene Burton and Betha Lee Burton; two brothers, J.C. Burton and A.C. Burton. She is survived by six sons, Larry Mitchell of Omaha, Nebraska, Jimmy Davis and wife Liz of Texarkana, Texas, Michael Davis and wife Stacey of Saratoga, Arkansas, Johnny Davis of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Alvin Jerome Madlock of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Duane Madlock of Texarkana, Arkansas; one daughter, Mylinda Madlock Lewis and husband Victor of Texarkana, Texas; Goddaughter, Shannon Roberson; one step daughter, Fayreather Madlock Watts and husband Jerry Watts; one daughter-in-law, Polly Madlock of Ozan, Arkansas; two brothers, Walter Burton and Curtis Burton; three sisters, Queenester Sutton, Flossie Burton and Dorothy Atkins; fourteen grandchildren, Alicia Davis, Michael Davis Jr., Brittanie Madlock and fiance’Steve, Charles Madlock, Ashley Madlock, Terry Caldwell and wife Tiandrea, Channing Davis, Solomon Davis, Alexis Davis, Bryanna Huntley, Armanii Davis, Keirsten Davis, Takenvyon Jetton, Tremayne King and Jerry Hollins; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Odis Vickers. Burial will be in Chapelwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
