James “Jimmy” Cordell Clark, 62 of Bentonvill­e, AR, passed away Monday December 18, 2017 at Circle of Love Hospice in Bentonvill­e, AR. Jimmy was born and raised in Yazoo City, MS, where he met his wife of 39 years, Robin Aldridge Clark. Jimmy and Robin moved to Texarkana, TX in 1990 where Jimmy was operations manager for FedEx. Jimmy retired from FedEx in 2004 and began working with Robin at Fan Fare Gifts, a business they owned in Texarkana for nearly 20 years.

Jimmy was diagnosed with Amyotrophi­c Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, on April 1, 2014. He devoted the remaining years of his life to spending time with his family and to raising awareness of ALS and supporting efforts to find treatments and a cure. Jimmy made multiple trips to Washington D.C. to advocate for Right to Try legislatio­n.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Wilbur C. and Hazel T. Clark of Yazoo City.

Survivors include his wife Robin, his son and daughterin-law Chris and Jennifer Clark and grandchild­ren Austin and Ainsley of Frisco, TX, his son and daughter-inlaw Brian and Amber Clark and grandchild­ren Owen and Mason of Bella Vista, AR, his brother and sisterinLa­rry and Patsy Clark of Yazoo City, his sister Joyce Clark of San Antonio, TX, his niece Marie Jackson and her husband Bruce of Yazoo City, and his in-laws Garnett and Betty Harris of Brandon, MS.
