BASEBALL
Horatio High School is hosting a baseball defensive camp for players ages 7-15 on Thursday, June 15 from 9 a.m to noon at the Horatio High School baseball field. The cost is $40 per individual, with additional siblings adding $20. Participants will receive training from Horatio coaches and current and former players on defensive skills. Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host a baseball showcase for 2017 and 2018 high school graduates and two-year college transfer students on Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to noon at George Dobson Field at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana, Texas. Advanced registration is required. Cost is $65 per player and the payment may be made online or on site. The deadline to register is June 15. BASKETBALL
Pleasant Grove will host the Hawk Nation basketball camp June 12-14. The camp is open to all area students. Grades 3-6 will practice from 9 a.m.-10:30, and grades 7-9 practice from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Participants will learn ball handling, shooting, defense and offense, and the cost is $70. Texas High Lady Tigers will host a girls' basketball camp on June 19-20 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Texas High School Tiger Center, 4001 Summerhill Road. Camp features individual and group instruction under simulated game conditions, individual and team competitions including free-throw, ball-handling, hot shot and 3-point contests. Cost is $50 prior to day of camp or $60 day of camp. Participants are asked to wear basketball shoes, socks, t-shirts and shorts. Texas High will host a youth football camp for incoming K-9th grade students on August 8–10. Camp registration will be on-site on first day of camp in the Texas High School Multi-Purpose Facility. The camp for K-6th grade boys will be from 8 a.m.–9:30 a.m., while the camp for incoming 7th–9th graders is from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost is free and participants will enjoy learning skills and drills. SOCCER
The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles soccer academy will host a series of soccer camps. The camps primarily focus on teaching the core fundamentals of the game, individual technique and ball mastery. Boys and girls camp is July 24-27. Ages 5-6 camp is from 9 a.m.-10:30 and cost $50, ages 7-9 is from 9 a.m.-11 and cost $65, and ages 10-13 is from 6 p.m.-8 and cost $75. The girls high school camp is July 20-22, cost is $75. STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
Texas High's strength and conditioning program will be June 5-July 20 from 9:30 a.m.– 10:30 a.m. for incoming student-athletes in grades 7th and 8th and June 5–Aug. 10 from 7:30 a.m.–9:30 a.m. for student-athletes incoming 9th-12th grades. The program is free to all student-athletes and is designed to help students gain the necessary skills to become a superior athlete. Camp will be held at the Texas High School Multi-Purpose Facility. VOLLEYBALL
Texas High will host two volleyball camps in July. A camp for incoming 8th and 9th graders will be July 24-25, and for incoming 5th-7th grades July 26-27. Both camps will be held at THS' Tiger Center from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and registration fee is $25 with a June 15 deadline. All campers will receive pizza lunch and a camp T-shirt. SOFTBALL
The 2nd Annual Two States Softball Showcase is set to take place June 23-25. There is a skills competition on Friday, June 23 at Grady T. Wallace Park beginning at 11 a.m. The dinner break will begin at 4 p.m., with a luau to follow beginning at 6:30 p.m. The softball showcase will begin at 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Grady T. GOLF
The Hope Country Club will host a 2-man scramble on June 23-25. The entry fee is $250. Entrants should be signed up by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 22.
