Sams age 83, of Doddridge, Arkansas died Friday, November

25, 2016 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

Kenneth was born April 18, 1933 in Miller County, Arkansas to Jeff and Willie Sams. He was retired from Centerpoint Energy; a Methodist by faith and loved spending time with family and gardening. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Glen Sams; sisters, Juana Harrington, Irene Swinney; brothers, Buron Sams, Billy Sams and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Sams of Doddridge, Arkansas; daughters, Robin Jones and husband Gareth of Bullard, Texas, Teresa D’Amore of Collierville, Tennessee; son, David Sams and wife Karen of Doddridge, Arkansas; brother, J. B. Sams of Doddridge, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jessica Ferrante, Evan Jones, Sawyer Sams, Graham Sams, Miller Escarre and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, November 28, 2016 at Olive Branch United Methodist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Walter Burnett officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Olive
