Probe continues in deadly shooting
An investigation continues into a fatal shooting Oct. 28 at the Prissy Chrissy Ranch in Bowie County.
Officials with the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office are being tightlipped about the case.
“I’ve got nothing new to report,” BCSO Chief Deputy Jeff Neal said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
Neal declined to give a time frame for any future developments.
“When we’re done, we’ll let everybody know,” Neal said.

The sheriff’s office is working the investigation in tandem with Texas Department of Public Safety.
In an interview earlier this month, Neal said preliminary autopsy results on the dead, Timber Rena Taylor, 19, and Jonathan Lee Hill, 35, were in, but he was mum on the findings.
Investigators received a phone call at 7:12 a.m. Oct. 28 from Rick Hargrove, who owns the ranch. Hargrove told investigators he had received a phone call from his son, Richard Skye Hargrove, 25, who lives at the ranch on South Farm to Market Road 2148 west of Texarkana. The son reportedly told Hargrove he had shot a man and woman who were allegedly trying
to break into the home.
The idyllic ranch has been the site of weddings, parties and other events in the past.
Bowie County District Attorney Jerry Rochelle said his office has not received a case file from law enforcement concerning the ranch shooting. “In the event we do receive one, it will be our duty to present the findings to the grand jury,” Rochelle said.
