Baez boosts Blue Devils on road

Leominster 6, Central Catholic 3: Angel Baez hurled a five-hitter and struck out 12 as the visiting Blue Devils (5-1) won their fourth straight. Baez also had two hits and drove in three runs, while Nick Massa was 2 for 2 with a home run and two RBIs.

Northbridg­e 8, Oxford 0: Charlie Dupuis allowed just three hits, and Joe McKeown had two hits and drove in two runs as the visiting Rams moved to 6-0, 3-0 in SWCL B. Cody McDonald doubled for the Pirates (3-3, 1-2).

Valley Tech 9, Hopedale 2: Jack Marino went 3 for 3 with two RBIs for the visiting Beavers (5-1), who scored at least a run in each of the first five innings. Brady Wajda’s fifth-inning single scored both runs for the Blue Raiders (5-2).

Leicester 9, Bartlett 7: Caden Birtz went 2 for 2 with a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the seventh inning as the host Wolverines (2-2, 2-1 SWCL B) rallied to beat the Indians (4-3, 2-3). He also picked up the win on the mound, pitching 32⁄3 innings of relief. Adam Urato, Peter Lavache and Kenny Arpin each had two hits for Bartlett.

Barnstable 12, Doherty 2: Boris Valdez hit a run-scoring triple in the first inning and later scored for the Highlander­s (2-4) in a loss on the Cape.

Catholic Memorial 8, Wachusett 0: Matt Moreno had two of three hits for the host Mountainee­rs (3-3) in a loss to the Knights (2-3).

Marianapol­is 9, Bridgton Academy 8: Luke Beyers had 2 double and 4 RBIs, Owen Richardson smacked 2 singles and stolen two bases, and Sully Donohue had 2 singles and a walk in a road win for the Golden Knights (4-1), who trailed 5-0 after the first inning.

Softball

Hopedale 11, Milford 9: Kelsey Evans homered, and Phoebe Carroll was 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs for the visiting Blue Raiders (5-0), who held on after leading, 11-2, during the sixth inning.

Leicester 17, Bartlett 1: Grace Dias was 2 for 3 with a triple, Vivian Giles went 2 for 3 with home run and 2 RBIs, and Fallyn Pedersen collected 10 strikeouts as the Wolverines (3-1, 2-1 SWCL B) defeated the visiting Indians (1-4, 1-2).

BB&N 10, Worcester Academy 0: Arieanna Erlich went 2 for 2 in a road loss for the Hilltopper­s (2-3).

Boys’ lacrosse

Wachusett 10, Agawam 9: Anthony Del Negro scored three of his five goals in the second half, including his final one with less than 20 seconds to play for the host Mountainee­rs (5-1), who rallied from a four-goal halftime deficit to beat the Brownies. Teammates Greyson Doyle and Tom Anderson each had two goals.

St. John’s 9, Framingham 3: Charlie Carlstrom, Matt Lemay, Jacob Beaulac and Dom Reidy each scored twice, and

Carson Reirden tallied the other to spark the host Pioneers (3-4).

Valley Tech 9, St. Bernard’s 6: Jackson Mastroiann­i had four goals and four assists, and Jamie Nelson scored twice to boost the visiting Beavers (6-1). Josh Hoecker netted three goals with an assist for the Bernardian­s (2-3), and Chase Bergeron had 20 saves.

Hopkinton 9, Algonquin 8: Ben Yosca had three goals and an assist, Declan Mulkerin scored twice with an assist, and goalie Nate Gulachensk­i also tallied for the Titans (4-2) in a road loss.

Girls’ lacrosse

Algonquin 15, Hopkinton 14: Bella Roman netted her ninth goal of the game off a feed from Shea Domolky with 46 seconds left, and the Titans (3-2) held on in Hopkinton. Teammate Grace Chiota collected two goals and four assists, while Abby Roberts and Lauren Staunton each had a goal and assist.

Grafton 15, Wayland 12: Josie Hamilton collected five goals and one assist, Abby Scanlon scored six goals, and Caity Tyldesley had two goals and four assists as the Gators (3-3) rallied in Wayland. Trailing by three at halftime, Grafton tied the game at the end of the third period before taking the lead for good early in the fourth.

Worcester Academy 10, Marianapol­is 3: Emma Adysahl scored four goals, and Caelin Flynn chipped in two as the Hilltopper­s (2-4) prevailed at home. Hayley McNeal made 10 saves.
