TALLAHASSEE — Instead of coming to his weekend White House at Mar-aLago, it appears President Donald Trump will spend this weekend in Washington, D.C.

Trump “is planning on staying in Washington next weekend to prepare for his first joint address to Congress” on Feb. 28, CNN reported Tuesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration has not posted its warning banning certain types of flights, such as flight training and sky banners, from the area around Mar-a-Lago.

For the past three weekends when Trump came to Palm Beach, warnings were posted by this point in the week.

Trump’s visits to Palm Beach have cost the county about $60,000 per day in sheriff’s deputies’ overtime costs, though the county expects that the federal government will reimburse it for the costs of presidential visits.

Mar-a-Lago has a benefit gala this weekend for the Cleveland Clinic, and the professional golf event the Honda Classic is taking place at the PGA National course in Palm Beach Gardens through Sunday.

Trump, reportedly a highly skilled player with a keen interest in the game, has been accused of hypocrisy over his golfing habit recently.

During the campaign, Trump criticized thenPresident Barack Obama on many occasions for the frequency of the Obama’s golf outings.

“I’m not going to have time to go play golf,” he told a crowd at a Virginia event in August.

But the Washington Post reported that Trump has averaged about a round of golf per week since becoming president. He’s played at his courses in West Palm Beach and Jupiter.

A White House spokeswoman, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, said Trump had “played a couple of holes” last weekend until the sports blog No Laying Up reported that Trump played a full 18 holes with professional golfer Rory McIlroy.
