Pubbelly Gastropub owners open their first downtown Miami eatery

The Pubbelly Gastropub owners, who have spun restaurant concepts across Miami, unveiled their first downtown endeavor this spring in the new Langford Hotel, remodeled from the old Miami National Bank.

“PB Station is unique for us because it’s our first official venture into a dedicated American eatery,” acclaimed chef and partner Jose Mendin says. “Pawn Broker, our rooftop bar, is our first-ever dedicated effort into spirits. Not only does it offer panoramic views, but I’d say it is one of the few Miami bar scenes putting just as much focus on food as it does beverage.”

A couple of the overlappin­g cocktails on the rooftop and downstairs at PB Station include the umami-flavored FDR martini ($16).

PB Station best-sellers include seafood charcuteri­e ($13-$15), BBQ brisket dates ($12), broiled oysters ($18) and smoked, grilled pork chop with bourbon maple jus ($28).

The Granny Smiths Bread Pudding ($9) riffs on apple pie with maple soft serve.

This summer, an express lunch menu launched with soup and choice of appetizer and entrée for $25.

A subway-like tunnel opens into a vaulted dining room inspired by internatio­nal train stations. Breakfast and lunch are served daily, except Sunday, and dinner nightly. Live jazz enlivens Tuesdays on the rooftop.
