WHAT’S OPEN, CLOSED ON THANKSGIVING

Here’s what will be open and closed in Broward, Palm Beach and MiamiDade counties on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2019. Additionally, some agencies, governmental offices and services will be closed or operate limited hours on Nov. 29.

South Florida

■ Federal offices; and banks will be closed Nov. 28.

■ Post offices closed and no regular mail delivery Nov. 28.

■ Stock Markets: Nov. 28: NYSE, Nasdaq, Bond Markets are closed; Nov. 29: close early: NYSE, 1 p.m.; Nasdaq, 1 p.m.; Bond Markets, 2 p.m.

Broward County

Government/Schools

■ Public schools are closed Nov. 27, 28 and 29; most colleges and universities will be closed Nov. 28-29.

■ The 17th Judicial and Circuit and County Courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts will be closed Nov. 28 and 29. Services

■ Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed. In the event of animal attack or bite, call 911. For lost or found cats or dogs, call 954-359-1313, ext. 9273.

■ The Broward County Landfill at 7101 SW 205th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, will be closed.

■ Florida Department of Health in Broward County will be closed Nov. 28 and Nov. 29.

■ There will be no garbage, bulk, or recycling collections Thursday. Regularly scheduled collections resume Friday. Residents of all other Broward municipalities contact their city or hauler for scheduling information.

Entertainment

■ The county library system will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

■ Broward County regional and neighborhood parks, and natural areas will be open with the exception of Deerfield Island Park, which will be closed per normal operating schedule. Transportation

Palm Beach County

Government/Schools

■ Public schools are closed Nov. 25-29; most colleges and universities will be closed Nov. 28-29.

■ Courts: 15th Judicial Court will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

■ The county library system will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

■ Parks and natural areas will be open. Transportation

■ Palm Tran: Nov. 28 :no bus service, administrative offices closed; Nov. 29: Weekday bus schedule, administrative offices closed.

Miami-Dade County

Government/Schools

■ Public schools, will be closed Nov. 27, 28 and 29 and most colleges and universities will be closed Nov. 28, 29.

■ Courts: 11th Judicial Circuit will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Services
