The Dawg Wash celebrated its completed renovations, new ownership and joining the Starkville Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting on Friday afternoon at the Louisville Street location.
Dawg Wash Co-Owner and Marketing Director Stephen Caples said the new ownership took over in March, and the Dawg House has remained open during renovations.
The Dawg Wash also has locations on Stark Road and South Montgomery Street.
Along with renovations and reopening, the Dawg Wash became a member of the Starkville Chamber of Commerce.
"We are excited to see new ownership and renovate and reopen the Dawg Wash locations in Starkville," GSDP Director of Membership Hunter Harrington said.
Caples said customers pay $5 at the entrance of the Dawg Wash and receive a token for a 10 minute, self service car wash and free vacuum.
Caples said a dog washing station is new to the Dawg Wash at all three locations.
"It is the first of its kind in Starkville, and it is available at all three locations," Caples said.
The dog wash offers a rinse, flea and tick shampoo, disinfect and hair drying for $10 for 10 minutes.
"The addition of the pet wash stations brings such a unique offering to our very petfriendly town," Harrington said.
Caples said one goal for the future is to weather proof the dog wash so it can be used year-round.
Caples said another possible addition to the Dawg Wash in 2018 is a friction wash with brushes.
"We want everyone in Starkville to come by and let us know what you think," Caples said.
