Bernard Bell, 90, of La Plata, MD passed away on November 27, 2017 at his home.

Born in Seat Pleasant, MD on July 25, 1927 to the late Archie Bell and the late Mary Bell; Bernard is also preceded in death by his wife, Vera Jean Bell; brother, Archie Bell; sisters: Ethel Soper, Gloria Farmer, Thelma Luskey; and daughter, Cynthia Bell Puleio. He is survived by his children: Erik Arnold; William Arnold (Tamatha); Loretta Lehman (Paul); Cheryl Arnold; Keith Bell (Ken); brother, Eppie Bell; grandchild­ren: Michael Puleio (Carolyn); Nicholas Thompson (Amy); Stephanie Arnold; Whitney Arnold; William Arnold (Karycelis); Jeanne Lynn Wilson (Michael); Erik Arnold; Travis Arnold; Brady Arnold; and great-grandchild­ren: Evan Thompson, Hailey Thompson, and Kendra Arnold.

Bernard retired from the Federal Govt. as an Electricia­n. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Guam. He loved the water and enjoyed going to the beach and being with family.

Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of St. Charles (136 Stoddert Ave., Waldorf, MD) on Thursday, December 7, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., where a Funeral Service will also be held on Friday, December 8 at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill (4111 Pennsylvan­ia Ave., Suitland, MD).
