Trinity Baptist Church to host jewelry party

Trinity Baptist Church will host a Women At Risk (WAR) Internatio­nal jewelry party 1-4 p.m. April 30 at the church, 2671 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf. Church to host Economic and Financial Literacy Workshop

Workshop 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 30 at the church, 3280 Leonardtow­n Road, Waldorf. Workshops will be offered for the entire family. Immaculate Conception to hold dinner and festival

Immaculate Conception Church will hold a dinner and festival noon5 p.m. May 1 at the church parish center, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsv­ille. Menu includes Southern Maryland fried chicken, baked chicken, ham, crab balls, spiced shrimp, green beans, parsley potatoes, pickled beets, applesauce, coleslaw, garden salad, rolls, peaches, and beverages. Cost $25 adults, eat-in, carry out, and drive-through; $8 children ages 6-12; children under 6 free. There will be a drivethrou­gh for carry out dinners only. Catholic Police/Fire and EMT Society to remember first responders

Catholic Police/Fire and EMT Society will remember first responders after the 12:30 p.m. Mass May 1 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret. The event will remember living and deceased first responders in anticipati­on of the Blue Mass to be held May 3 in Washington, D.C. All are welcome to attend and give thanks. The Society will meet in Brady Hall immediatel­y following the blessing.
