‘Entertainer’s dream’ can come true at waterfront estate

A 15,448-square-foot waterfront estate in Lighthouse Point, with easy access to the ocean, has features sure to entice boat enthusiasts. But the home, which was built in 2016, has plenty to attract those with plans to entertain this holiday season. In fact, one of the listing agents describes the home, listed for $13.5 million, as “an entertainer’s dream.”

Located at 3211 NE 27th Ave., the two-story home has seven bedrooms and a total of eight baths. Its features include a 1,350bottle wine cellar, a gym, a full bar with a keg on tap, an outdoor kitchen with not one, but three grills, an elevator, a piano room and three fireplaces.

Outside, there is a heated saltwater pool, a hot tub, multiple terraces and 87 linear feet of water frontage on a canal.

The home has glass walls that can be slid open to create a seamless flow from inside to outside.

“This house has so many cool features,” said Chad Bishop, a real estate agent with One Sotheby’s International Realty in Fort Lauderdale, who shares the listing with colleague Michael Clouston. “And you have water views from every room.”

The current owners purchased the property in August 2013 for $1.35 million and custom-built the home. They are selling because they plan to purchase oceanfront property in the area, Bishop said.

The City of Lighthouse Point was incorporated in

1956 and is popular with boaters because many of its homes abut the city’s

18 miles of waterways, according to its official website.

“Lighthouse Point is a hidden gem,” said Bishop. “People don’t know it’s there. It’s a boater’s community with beautiful homes on the water, but the market hasn’t caught up to Fort Lauderdale, so you can get some great values there.”
