PHILLIPSTO­N - Jean E. (Johnson) Rubin, of Phillipsto­n, passed into eternal glory, Thursday, December 3, 2020.

Born in Fitchburg, MA on October 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Elizabeth (Wright) Johnson of Ashby, MA. Having grown up in Ashby, Jean graduated from Ashby High School, she later moved and raised her family in Phillipsto­n, MA. Jean loved the quiet country to enjoy a good book and time spent sewing a project for a loved one.

Jean was a member of New Hope Bible Chapel, in Templeton, MA. She was a stitcher most of her career working for the local furniture manufactur­ers. Much of her time was spent in her sewing room making quilts for family, friends, and others. She was incredibly talented and put her love into each stitch of every quilt she made; it was her mission field. But the time that she cherished the most was spent with her family.

Jean is survived by her Husband of 53 years, Albert R. Rubin; her brother, Roland Johnson and his wife Eleanor, her sister Dale Gushlaw and her husband, Chuck, two sons, Michael R. Rubin and his wife, Jean of Phillipsto­n, MA ; Christophe­r A. Rubin, and his wife, Hiedi of Athol, MA; her daughter, Kelly J. Brown and her husband, Gregory of Petersham, MA; twelve grandchild­ren, Richard and his significan­t other Samantha; Teresa and her husband Eric; Elizabeth and her significan­t other, Kyle; Dominic, Juliette, Eleanore, Christian, Emily, Joseph D., Joshua, Joseph L., and Summer; four great-grandchild­ren; Kylie, Khloe, Skylar, and Lukas. As well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was predecease­d by her parents Karl R. and Elizabeth L. (Wright) Johnson.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 17th from 5-7 PM at Lavery Chartrand Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St, Fitchburg, MA. Her Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 18th at 11 AM at Highland Baptist Church, 19 Cedar St, Fitchburg, MA. All Covid – 19 protocols are in effect. A Mask is required to enter the funeral home and at the church.
