Veteran coach Adam Levine shook up many fans with his announcement at the end of Season 16 that he was departing the show, leaving Blake Shelton as the only remaining original cast member still on the panel for Season 17. Luckily, the producers didn’t have to cast a wide net for a replacement: Shelton’s real-life partner, Gwen Stefani, who has three seasons as coach under her belt, will move into Levine’s big red chair. Kelly Clarkson and John Legend also are back, along with host Carson Daly.

Billy Gardell reteams with Mike & Molly executive producer Chuck Lorre for this new sitcom in which he stars as Bob, a Detroit businessman who lands in the hospital from the stress of running a family-owned compression-sock company. As he recovers from his heart attack, Bob starts to fall for Abishola (Folake Olowofoyeku), the Nigerian immigrant who is his cardiac nurse, and resolves to win her over. Christine Ebersole, Matt Jones and Maribeth Monroe (The Good Place) co-star.

Co-created by Chris Fedak (Chuck), this new high-concept crime drama stars Tom Payne, pictured, as gifted criminal psychologist Malcolm Bright, whose qualifications for helping the New York Police Department solve crimes include a real humdinger: His own father is a serial killer known as “The Surgeon.” He has a manipulative mom as well, but his TV journalist sister Ainsley (Halston Sage) is a staunch ally. Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young and Lou Diamond Phillips also star.

After the death of her mother, headstrong attorney Sydney Strait (Caitlin McGee) warily accepts an invitation from her estranged father, Elijah (Jimmy Smits), to rejoin his prestigious Memphis law firm in this new legal drama, which follows the pair as they try to reconnect as father and daughter while simultaneously meshing their dramatically different courtroom styles. Scott Shepherd, Barry Sloane, Michael Luwoye, MaameYaa Boafo, Stony Blyden and Jayne Atkinson also star.
