Robbie Robertson of The Band narrates this new four-part series, which weaves modern science and scholarshi­p into Native American traditions and oral history to illuminate a world created by America’s First Peoples. Fittingly, the series opens with “From Caves to Cosmos,” which examines the question of who these people were, with answers revealed by Amazonian cave paintings, Mexican burial chambers and New Mexico’s Chaco Canyon.

8 p.m. on OWN Ready to Love Girls Trip

producer Will Packer is also behind this new dating show revolving around profession­al black men and women in their 30s and 40s who are seeking a relationsh­ip in the Atlanta rat race. In the series premiere, “First Impression­s,” women attending a singles mixer must decide by the end of the evening which men show the most promise and which of them clearly are not ready for anything serious.

A different guest retreat — this one in a beachside community — is the setting as this comic anthology series opens Season 2 with two new back-to-back half hours. Vivian and Eddie (Carly Jibson, Eddie Steeples, pictured) from Season 1 have relocated to this new locale, hoping to make a fresh start, and they soon befriend the proprietor­s of a restaurant and adjacent vacation home.

Chris Jericho: Hunting Monsters Former WWE champion Chris Jericho gets a chance to indulge a lifelong passion — namely, a fascinatio­n with the paranormal — in this new one-hour special, which finds Jericho embarking on a quest to find some of the chilling monsters that are said to inhabit the swamps of southern Louisiana.

8 p.m. on LIFE Married at First Sight — Honeymoon Island

This new unscripted relationsh­ip series gives past participan­ts on

Married at First Sight a second shot at finding a soulmate, as 16 fan favorites and other candidates join newcomers on an exotic island. At the end of their stay, they’ll decide whether they want to get married or continue on their solo voyage elsewhere.
