March 24, 1927 - October 24, 2022

Our loving father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend, Ramon Dominguez, passed away rather suddenly on Monday evening in Daly City. He was 95 years old. He joins his wonderful wife, Zeida, who preceded his death by almost 12 years. Ramon is survived by his son and best friend, Ramon Dominguez Jr., his favorite (and only) daughter, Haydee Rinehart, his sonin-law John Rinehart and his grandkids, Elizabeth (Lizzi) and Matt who brought him great joy.

Ramon was a person with tremendous integrity, a strong work ethic, a generous spirit and a fun sense of humor which he held onto until his last day. After many joyous reunions in heaven, we are sure his jokes and storytelling days continue on.

He was born in Havana, Cuba, and spent a portion of his childhood in Galicia, Spain. He studied accountancy at the University of Havana and worked at the National Bank of Cuba where he met his wife, Zeida. They married in 1956 and had two children. In 1961, they fled the communist regime, moved to the U.S., and began their life together here…always Cuban but very proud to be Americans. They both had careers in banking in San Francisco which they enjoyed tremendously. Upon retirement, they were devoted grandparents and world travelers.

Ramon will be missed dearly by his family and friends and by those he touched through his generosity and humor.

Friends may visit on Monday, October 31 from 5-8pm and are invited to attend a service in his memory at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 1 at Duggans Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. If anyone would like to honor Ramon with a donation, St. Anthony’s of San Francisco, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or any charity special to you would be very kind.
