- — Eric Branch

Kickoff: 5:20 p.m. Sunday TV/Radio: !38 /680, 104.5, 107.7 Spotlight on: ILB Fred Warner: For an encore after his first-team All-Pro season, Warner wanted to produce more big plays in 2021. That’s yet to happen. He has no sacks, interceptions or forced fumbles, and just one pass breakup in five games. The 49ers could use a big performance from Warner with three interior defensive linemen out with injuries and the Colts likely to repeatedly test the middle of their defense with 226-pound RB Jonathan Taylor, who ranks fifth in the NFL in rushing (472 yards). Indianapolis’ rushing attack with get a boost with the return of All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson, who missed the previous three games with an ankle injury.

Injury notes: 49ers — DT Javon Kinlaw (knee), DT Maurice Hurst (calf) and QB Trey Lance (knee) are out; LT Trent Williams (ankle) is doubtful. Colts — WR T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps), safety Julian Blackmon (Achilles) and CB Rock Ya-Sin (ankle) are out.

WHAT TO WATCH

A season after leading the NFL with 15 interceptions and committing 19 turnovers with the Eagles, Colts QB Carson Wentz has thrown just one INT and committed three turnovers in six games. DE Nick Bosa will face Colts Pro Bowl LT Eric Fisher for the first time since they met in Super Bowl LIV when Fisher was with the Chiefs. Fisher, who returned in Week 2 after suffering a torn Achilles in January, has struggled in pass protection this season. The 49ers haven’t allowed a 100-yard rusher in 25 straight games, the NFL’s longest active streak. Taylor has rushed for more than 100 yards in two of his past three games.
