Born on June 7, 1941, Vincent passed away peacefully on June 28, 2018 after a long illness at the age of 77.

Vincent was a very compassion­ate individual who saw to the care of his grandmothe­r, his parents, his aunts (Gert) and uncle as they aged. He always made time to cook them meals and tend to their needs. He was a veteran of the United States Army and longtime first responder. He served as a Fire Fighter for the City and County of San Francisco at Engine 44 for 30 years from 1968 until his retirement in 1998. Snake, as his fellow SFFD brothers called him, was a devoted Giants and 49er fan, regularly attending games at Candlestic­k. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends for his kindness and his generosity with his time for those he loved, especially when they were in need.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Sr. and Gertrude (Bunny) and his brother, Stanley (Cricket.) Vince is survived by his loving wife, Carol, stepson Gary (Stefanie), step-grandchild­ren, Tyler and Anna Heath, sister June Wallach (Doug), and brother Michael (Bette.) He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Vince’s family and friends would like to thank the staff of the Five Star Care Home and Mission Hospice for their loving care at the end of his life.
