San Antonio Top Workplaces nominations deadline is May 17
Did you mean to nominate your employer as a 2024 Top Workplace but ran out of time? Don’t worry; we’re giving you a few more weeks to get it done.
With nearly 200 companies already nominated in the San Antonio Express-news’ 16th annual Top Workplaces awards program, the deadline is being extended to May 17 to give more employers a chance to take part.
Any organization in the metro area — whether public, private, nonprofit or government — with 35 or more employees is eligible to be recognized for its positive workplace environment.
If you feel good about how your company is doing, you can nominate it and tell us all about it in a 24-question survey. It’s easy to do and only takes about five minutes online at topworkplaces.com/nominate/mysanantonio/ or by calling 210-3483758.
Employees of nominated companies will be surveyed through June. In September, we’ll announce the Top Workplaces in a special section of the Express-news and at our annual awards ceremony.
Top Workplace winners are those that score highest among their peers on effective leadership, strong values and clear direction for the company.
Companies are separated into small, midsize and large categories based on their number of employees in the region.
Last year’s Top Workplaces were Broadway Bank (in the large-employer category);
Jbgoodwin Realtors (midsize); and San Antonio Smart Solutions (small).
Energage, the newspaper’s research partner for this program, conducts Top Workplaces surveys in 65 markets and surveyed more than 2 million employees at more than 8,000 organizations last year. The process is based on a scientific survey of employees who rate their workplace culture. It also gives companies insight into what makes them unique.
Here’s a look at last year’s San Antonio program, by the numbers:
• Organizations surveyed: 169
• Winners recognized: 120
• Employees of surveyed organizations: 59,548
• Employee survey responses: 29,460
