She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother and aunt, who cherished her family, church, community – serving all faithfully. She was the one person who was always there for everyone.

As a devout Catholic with a devotion to Mary, she prayed the Rosary every day and was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church for over 40 years, serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

and volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul.

Linda was the last of three children born to Charles and Eliza (Farias) Soliz on September 12, 1947, in New Braunfels, Texas.

Linda is survived by her son, Carl Michel, and his partner, Bertha Rodarte, along with her children, Xavier, Sophia, and Nicolas; and son Walt Michel, his wife Esmeralda, along with their children, Adrianna and Wyatt.

She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of the Incarnate Word

in 2003. She proudly served the City of San Antonio for 24 years, first with the Metropolitan Health District as a case manager, assisting at-risk mothers, and with the San Antonio Police Department, aiding survivors of family violence. After retiring she enjoyed spending time at home with her coffee and cats. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

Visitation and Rosary will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Mission Park North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive from 5:00-8:00pm with the Rosary beginning at 6:00pm.
