FORT WORTH - Robert (Bob) Tilmon Jones, Jr., 95, beloved father, Papa and great-grandfathe­r, died after a brief illness on Nov. 6, 2023, Fort Worth, Texas.

Graveside: 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Grand Prairie, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Bob’s name to your favorite charity.

Bob was born to Robert Tilmon Jones, Sr., and Abbie Elizabeth (Wyatt) Jones Aug. 19, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas, the youngest of three children.

After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High

School in San Antonio, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1948, served as an aircraft technician, and was a Vietnam veteran. Upon retirement in 1971, he continued to live and work in San Antonio, his last job with Security Service Federal Credit Union.

While stationed at RAF Burtonwood near Manchester, England during the 1950s, he met and married Barbara Norma Parker in Manchester on Oct. 26, 1957. They had three sons and one daughter.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Jane Reese Jones; and his sisters, Abbie Lorene Jones and Margaret Frances Davis.

Survivors: Sons, Keith and wife, Katy, Steve, and Scott and wife, Susan; daughter, Kimberly and husband, Mark Baumann; grandchild­ren, David and wife, Ashley, Robert and wife, Abigail, Jared and wife, Meg, Jeff and wife, Hanna, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Annabel and husband, Kaleb Eads; great-grandchild­ren, Olivia, Evelyn, Zachary, Felix, Charlotte and Ariella; nephews, Jerry, Robert and Roland Davis; and niece, Becky McBride.

Bob loved spending time with family, watching football, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles and word finds. He leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness and love.
