ROME/FLOYD YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP — A football camp for upcoming Rome and Floyd County firstthrough sixth-graders will be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-6:30 p.m. at Grizzard Park. The early registration period has ended. A $20 late fee will be charged for each participant who registers now. Late registration will be held Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. at Grizzard Park. Brochures and registration forms can be found at many Rome City and Floyd County schools. Rome High football coaches and other guests will instruct children in football fundamentals. BERRY BASEBALL CAMP — Berry College will host a baseball camp for kindergartners through 12thgraders Monday-June 2, June 13-16 and June 27-30. The camp is designed for intensive skill development in all areas of playing a position, throwing and hitting. The cost for the camp will be $120 and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. BERRY YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMPS — Berry College will host its youth and individual skills basketball camps Tuesday-June 3. The morning sessions from 9 a.m. to noon will be for boys and girls ages 4 to 8, and the afternoon sessions for ages 9 to 14 will be from 1 to 5 p.m. The cost for each child is $145. ROME YMCA ARSENAL SOCCER TRYOUTS — The YMCA Arsenal Soccer Club will have tryouts. Players born in 2005 or later can try out Tuesday, June 2 or June 4. Players born in 2004 or earlier can try out June 7, June 9 or June 11. Weekdays tryouts are from 6 to 8 p.m., and the office will open for registration at 5 p.m. Saturdays the office will open at 9 a.m., and tryouts will be from 10 a.m. to noon. ARMUCHEE CHEERLEADERS CHILDREN’S CAMP — The Armuchee High football cheerleaders will host a children’s camp for ages 4 to 11 Tuesday-June 3 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The camp will take place at the Armuchee High gym. On-site registration will cost $65. Pre-register to receive a camp T-shirt. All registrations are non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to AHS with the participant’s name and “cheer camp” written in the memo line. WES TIMMONS BASEBALL CAMPS — Wes Timmons baseball camps will take place throughout May and June at Shorter University. There will be three camps and a summer prospect camp. The Wes Timmons camps will take place this Monday through Friday, May 30-June 3 and June 20-24. The camps will be Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $95 per person each week for ages 6 to 13. The prospect camp will take place Saturday and is for players in ninth through 12th grades. It will cost $115.

CHATTOOGA FOOTBALL COMBINE — Chattooga High School will host a football combine and showcase on June 4 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. It will include testing, agility evaluation, position evaluation and head-to-head competitions. YMCA Arsenal soccer will have a summer league for ages 4 to 15. Registration will run through June 5, and hour-long practices will take place on Tuesdays. Practices will start June 14. Games will be begin June 16 and end July 21, and they will be played on Thursdays. Academy/Select players are welcome to participate. The cost is $60 for members and $85 for non-members. MODEL BIG BLUE BASKETBALL CAMP — The Model Big Blue Basketball Camps will take place in June. The girls’ camp will be June 6-9, and the boys’ camp will be June 13-16. BERRY COLLEGE SOFTBALL CAMPS — The Berry College softball team is hosting two types of camps this summer. Pitching clinics will be held June 6 and July 11 from 6-8 p.m. Youth camps will be held June 9 and July 14 from 5-8 p.m. The pitching clinics are designed for all levels of pitchers and will focus on mechanics. The youth camps are for ages 7-13 and will include offensive and defensive fundamentals. The cost is $35 per session or $60 for both sessions of each camp. The cost includes a T-shirt. Rome Tennis Academy will host mini camps and full camps this summer. The mini camps will cost $100 and will take place June 8-10, June 27-29 and July 20-22.
