AT THE MOVIES

“Deadpool & Wolverine”: The merc with a mouth’s third big-screen outing will likely serve as Deadpool’s official introducti­on to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s sacred timeline. Directed by Shawn Levy, the welcome party stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Emma Corrin, Leslie Uggams and Matthew Macfadyen.

“Didi”: Sean Wang wrote and directed this dramedy about the teenage misadventu­res of a 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy coming of age in 2008. It stars Joan Chen, Izaac Wang, Shirley Chen and Chang Li Hua.

NEW ON DVD

“The Fall Guy”: A stuntman (Ryan Gosling) gets involved in a murder mystery while trying to save the movie directed by his estranged girlfriend (Emily Blunt).

“The Strangers: Chapter 1”: The first of three entries in the 2024 horror trilogy from director Renny Harlin (“Die Hard 2”) finds a young couple encounteri­ng masked ne’er-do-wells while at a remote rental cabin.

“Back to Black”: A biopic about the iconic and tragic soul singer Amy Winehouse and the writing of her 2006 album of the same name.

“Ezra”: A stand-up comic takes his autistic son on a spontaneou­s road trip across the country, setting out for L.A. to perform on Jimmy Kimmel. Starring Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne and Vera Farmiga.

“Arcadian”: Nic Cage stars in this horror thriller as a father who, along with his twin sons, faces off against monstrous creatures as the end times arrive.

“Not Another Church Movie”: This spoof film takes aim at the works of Tyler Perry. Starring Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Daniels and Mickey Rourke.

“Halo: Season Two”: The Paramount+ series based on the long-running video game franchise returns for a second season with master chief and company.

“Justice League: Crisis on In nite Earths, Part Three”: The DC superhero squad has a final desperate fight against the Anti-monitor in this final entry in the Tomorrowve­rse.

“Sense and Sensibilit­y”: Hallmark Channel adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel featuring Deborah Ayorinde, Bethany Antonia and Dan Jeannotte.

NEW MUSIC FRIDAY

Rakim, “G.O.D.’S Network (Reb7rth)”: The legendary MC’S first new album in 15 years features posthumous appearance­s from DMX, Prodigy and Nipsey Hussle, along with tracks with Kool G Rap, Method Man and Snoop Dogg. Ice Spice, “Y2K”: Full-length debut from the Grammy-nominated rapper includes the singles “Phat Butt” and “Did It First.”

WHAT’S ON TV

“The Decameron” (Thursday, Netflix): Season 1 of eight-episode dark comedy about nobles and servants in 1348 retreating to a grand villa to escape the Black Death in the Italian countrysid­e in 1348.

“Alone” (History, 8 p.m., Thursday): Murphy’s Law is alive and thriving in the wild of the Arctic Circle, but the truth brings comfort to one survivalis­t. Then, an area predator begins paying attention to another contestant, while another is struggling with poor performanc­e thus far.

“Beat Bobby Flay” (FOOD, 9 p.m., Thursday): Laughter might be the best medicine, but that doesn’t mean it tastes good as chef Antonia Lofaso partners with comedian Leslie Jones as they give hilarious commentary as chefs Josh Elliot and Vicky Colas hope to pull a fast one on chef Bobby Flay.

2024 Paris Olympics (WPXI, 1:30 p.m., Friday): Warm, friendly France hosts the 2024 Summer Olympics as the Opening Ceremonies get underway. The parade of athletes will take place not in a stadium but on the Seine River with boats for each national delegation­s. Stay tuned for the torch-lighting ceremony.

“The Serpent Queen” (STARZ, 8 p.m., Friday): Samantha Morton returns to star as Catherine de Medici in the second season of this darkly comedic series, which now sees the nefarious queen mother in question rivaled by the infamous “Virgin Queen,” Queen Elizabeth I (Minnie Driver).

“Tom Sawyer” (TCM, 8 p.m., Friday): This 1973 musical adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic novel follows as Tom Sawyer (Johnny Whitaker) teams up with Huckleberr­y Finn (Jeff East) and Becky Thatcher (Jodie Foster) to help their friend, Muff Potter (Warren Oates), out of a tough situation.

“Totally Funny Kids” (WPNT, 9:30 p.m., Friday): The youngest members of the family get their moment in the spotlight — whether they want it or not — as host Tacarra Williams highlights the craziest and funniest videos featuring kids. At the end of each episode, one clip is named the week’s funniest.

“Antiques Roadshow Recut” (WQED, 10 p.m., Friday): In this season premiere, the appraisers visit California’s Filoli Estate and get a taste for some of what the Golden State has to offer when items such as a 1976 Apple-i operation manual, mock-up for the Apple-ii and a 1967 Ansaldo Poggi viola show up.

“John Wick: Chapter 3 -— Parabellum” (AMC, 8 p.m., Saturday): During this third installmen­t, legendary hitman John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is stripped of the High Table’s protective services at the worst possible time as he must fight his way through the mean streets of New York with a $14 million bounty on his head.

“Knox Goes Away” (HBO, 8 p.m., Saturday): When an assassin (Michael Keaton) is diagnosed with dementia, he gets a chance to help his estranged son (James Marsden). As his mind continues to slip away, his skillset comes in handy to seek revenge against his granddaugh­ter’s attackers.

“The Great Food Truck Race” (FOOD, 8 p.m., Sunday): All Elite Wrestling tag teams The Acclaimed, and The Gunns take their rivalry beyond the ring when host Tyler Florence invites them to join the food trucks for a stop on the race. Will the introducti­on of these wrestlers help or hinder the racers?

“Tulsa King” (KDKA, 8 p.m., Sunday): Nothing is ever simple for mafia capo Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) as a simple errand ends in an explosivel­y unexpected way. Then, Dwight explores a possible new business opportunit­y before Stacey (Andrea Savage) opens up to him about her life.

“Hotel Portono” (WQED, 8 p.m., Sunday): Problems abound in this Season 3 premiere. First, Cecil (Mark Umbers) shocks Bella (Natascha Mcelhone) by saying he wants a divorce. Then Alice (Olivia Morris) has a chance meeting with Carlo (Daniele Pecci), who has moved on from her.
