No. 11 Michigan tops PSU women

Brad Davison scored 25 points and host No. 13 Wisconsin beat No. 16 Ohio State, 78-68, Thursday night for its sixth consecutiv­e victory. Tyler Wahl added 20 points, one point shy of his career high, for the Badgers (14-2, 5-1 Big Ten). Johnny Davis had 14 points and nine rebounds. Wisconsin was 10 of 23 from 3-point range. E.J. Liddell scored 18 points for Ohio State (10-4, 4-2).

Other Top 25 men

DePaul 96, Seton Hall 92: Jalen Terry scored 28 points and David Jones added 24 for the host Blue Demons (10-6, 1-5 Big East). Jared Rhoden led Seton Hall (11-4, 2-3) with 25 points.

Texas Tech 78, Oklahoma State 57: Kevin Obanor had 17 points and host No. 19 Texas Tech (13-3, 3-1 Big 12) backed up its consecutiv­e wins over top-10 teams with a victory over Oklahoma State (8-7, 1-3) in a makeup game.

District women Michigan 74, Penn State 57:

Naz Hillmon had 21 points for the No. 11 visiting Wolverines, who held the Nittany Lions’ Makenna Marisa to 16 points, six below her average. The game featured two of the Big Ten’s four 20point scorers in Hillmon and Marisa, a Peters Township graduate. Hillmon was 7 of 14 from the field and 7 of 8 at the free-throw line for Michigan (14-2, 5-1 Big Ten), while Marisa went 6 of 19 from the field. Leilani Kapinus scored 17 points for Penn State (7-7, 1-3) and Ali Brigham added 11. Michigan scored the first 10 points of the game and led 39-27 at halftime.

Top 25 women South Carolina 65, Texas A&M 45:

Aliyah Boston had 19 points and 15 rebounds for her 10th consecutiv­e double-double and host No. 1 South Carolina ( 16-1, 4-1 Southeaste­rn Conference) routed Texas A&M (10-6, 0-4).

Louisville 84, Syracuse 71: Kianna Smith and Hailey Van Lith each scored 20 points to help host No. 3 Louisville ( 14- 1, 4- 0 Atlantic Coast Conference) beat Syracuse (8-8, 1-5).

N.C. State 66, Virginia 43:

Elissa Cunane had 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 19 minutes for visiting No. 4 N.C. State (15-2, 6-0 ACC) against Virginia (3-10, 0-3).

Indiana 72, Nebraska 65:

Grace Berger scored 22 points and No. 6 Indiana (132, 5-0 Big Ten) survived a late push from visiting Nebraska (13-3, 2-3).

Tennessee 65, Vanderbilt 51: Jordan Horston scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as No. 5 Tennessee (16-1, 5-0 SEC) beat host Vanderbilt (10-7, 1-2).

LSU 87, Missouri 85, OT:

Khayla Pointer scored with five seconds left in overtime to lift No. 12 LSU (16-2, 4-1 SEC) past visiting Missouri (13-4, 2-2).

Georgia Tech 68, Florida State 64: Lorela Cubaj scored a career- high 24 points and host No. 15 Georgia Tech ( 13- 3, 4- 1 ACC) closed on a 13-2 run against Florida State (7-7, 1-3).

Virginia Tech 65, Duke 54: Elizabeth Kitley had 19 points and 12 rebounds as visiting Virginia Tech (12-4, 41 ACC) beat No. 16 Duke (113, 2-2).

Notre Dame 74, Wake Forest 64: Dara Mabrey scored a season-best 22 points and visiting No. 20 Notre Dame (12-3, 3-1 ACC) built a big lead early against Wake Forest (12-5, 2-4).
