Maddie Uschock • Hempfield

Position: P I Year: Senior After three years of waiting in the wings, Uschock took advantage of her opportunit­y to start for the Spartans, helping them to their fourth consecutiv­e WPIAL championsh­ip and third consecutiv­e PIAA championsh­ip. The Dominican College recruit went 21-3 this season, striking out 187 with a 1.10 ERA.

Laura Fox • Hempfield

Position: CF I Junior Fox, another key cog in Hempfield’s success, led the Spartans with a .439 batting average. The two-year starter had 18 extrabase hits this season, including four triples and one home run, scoring 34 runs, which is a school season record. The Spartans’ leadoff batter is consistent, hitting .438 as a sophomore.

Lexi Wagner • Seton LaSalle

Position: SS I Year: Senior A powerful force at the plate, Wagner had 24 extra-base hits as a senior, with six doubles, four triples and 14 home runs. She batted .680 with a .754 on-base percentage and had 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored, adding two grand slams and nine stolen bases. Will play at the University of Oregon.

Annalia Paoli • Albert Gallatin

Position: SS I Year: Sophomore Paoli helped lead Albert Gallatin to the WPIAL Class 5A semifinals and the PIAA quarterfin­als with her .456 batting average, 33 RBIs, six doubles, three triples and 10 home runs. A twoyear starter, Paoli had a .912 fielding percentage this season, with just five errors. Has 23 home runs in two seasons.

Dana Vatakis • Monessen

Position: P I Year: Senior The Robert Morris recruit led Monessen to a 17-5 record by hitting .541 with 11 doubles, four triples and four home runs, stealing seven bases, while striking out 270 with a 1.07 ERA. Vatakis had 20 strikeouts in an 8-0 win against Riverview in the WPIAL Class 1A quarterfin­als.

Katlyn Pavlick • South Park

Position: 3B I Year: Sophomore This season, Pavlick had a .666 batting average with 13 doubles, six triples and 15 home runs, leading the team with 53 RBIs and second on the team with 41 runs scored. Pavlick, a Pitt recruit, hit two grand slams as a senior and has the school record with 41 career home runs.

Britney Wilson • West Allegheny

Position: C I Year: Sophomore Wilson helped the Indians to back-to-back WPIAL Class 5A championsh­ips. This season, Wilson had a .565 batting average and led the team with 39 RBIs, striking out just three times in 25 games. As the Indians’ cleanup hitter, she hit four doubles, seven triples and two home runs.

Madison Renner • West Greene

Position: SS/P I Year: Senior Renner hit .551 and drove in 45 runs as the Pioneers repeated as PIAA Class 1A champions and won their third consecutiv­e WPIAL championsh­ip. A key defensive player, Renner also had an 0.27 ERA in 26 innings pitched as a senior, and finished her West Greene career with 15 complete game shutouts.

Kaitlyn Morrison • South Park

Position: SS I Year: Junior Morrison, a Penn State recruit and three-year starter, had a .594 batting average and drove in 36 runs. She led the team with 42 runs scored and tallied 11 doubles and 11 home runs, drawing 16 walks and only striking out four times. Morrison had a .671 on-base percentage and slugged 1.281.
